Armstrong Transportation has very high expectations of our drivers...and our drivers deliver. We expect our drivers to operate legally at all times including a legal logbook, perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and obey all traffic regulations. We also expect our drivers to deliver freight on time, stay in communication with dispatch and represent our company well as they visit our customer locations.
We understand that all drivers want a nice paycheck, but many also want to spend as much quality time at home as possible. Our drivers that want to maximize home time usually start their week on Monday morning and get home on Friday, so they enjoy the full weekend at home. These drivers run between 2,300 and 2,800 miles per week and gross between $1,100 and $1,400 per week.
For those drivers who want to maximize their miles and income, our 85% drop & hook freight network allows these drivers to run between 2,800 and 3,300 miles per week and gross between $1,250 and $1,700+ per week. To have the best opportunity to achieve maximum miles, these drivers either start their workweek on Sunday and get home Friday or start their week on Monday and get home Saturday.
We have many drivers that prefer to be home on Friday and start work on Monday morning. With our 85% drop and hook network, these drivers still earn a substantial, steady income and achieve between 2,300 and 2,800+ miles per week. Depending on where the driver lives, these drivers also often get a night at home during the week as well, so 4 or 5 nights at home and 2 or 3 on the road during the week.
Every driver in our regional fleet has been home every weekend for years. At Armstrong, we will take the time to get to know your preferred schedule for home time and make it happen. And no matter where you live in our network, you'll still get home every weekend.
Our network of repeat, dry-van customer freight is 85% drop and hook on both ends. We know every driver has a few favorite runs. We'll take the time to learn how you like to run and do our best to keep you on your preferred routes as often as possible.
We understand that finding safe overnight parking can be a challenge. That's why we have many shippers and receivers in our network that allow overnight parking at their facility. In fact, parking availability is one of the first questions we ask a potential new customer.
When possible, we will plan you on multiple trips at one time, so you know where and when you're picking up next before you start a trip. This extra planning allows drivers to plan their trip better and get more miles by connecting two trips together. We aren't able to do a multi-trip plan for every driver every time, but we do it as often as possible.
Every driver is assigned to a specific tractor. We offer Freightliner and International tractors with a mix of manual and automatic transmissions. We add new equipment every year and we'll do everything we can to put you in a truck that matches your preferences.
Armstrong Transportation has some of the top safety scores around...and we plan to keep it that way. From operating safely to preventing accidents and injuries, our entire company remains focused on the safety of our team and the motoring public that we proudly serve.
While we pride ourselves on getting all our drivers home every weekend, we do have weekend freight as well. Drivers use the weekend freight to pick up some extra miles or to make up the miles missed because of a day off during the normal week. Much of the weekend freight is day-trips within 225 miles of Memphis, Little Rock and other areas of our network.
We do our best to make every day perfect for our drivers, but as you know, trucking isn't always perfect. Things like canceled loads, delays at customers and breakdowns are going to happen. When they do, every member of the Armstrong team will be working hard to resolve problems and correct issues as quickly as possible. Fortunately at Armstrong, these things don't happen often, but when they do, Armstrong is going to step up every time with detention pay, breakdown pay and other solutions to make things right for our valuable drivers.
Armstrong currently has opportunities for local drivers in Memphis, Little Rock and Hammond, LA. Drivers are home every night and typically work a 10-12 hour day. Some occasional weekend and holiday work is required.
Armstrong's regional company drivers enjoy every weekend at home along with excellent miles and income. With our 85% drop-and-hook network, depending on the driver's goals, weekly miles range from 2,300 to 3,300+ per week.
